Principal wages war against Islam

The Muslim community remains inconsolable and demands that justice be done. At Yagoua, muslims continue to create psychosis among their faithfuls after been provoked by a gesture by one principal who burnt scarves of some muslims student.

Recently, the principal of the school burnt scarves of his students in Muslim-majority before many witnesses; an act of barbarism which the Princess Khadidja blatantly condemned.

Accompanied by the priest and journalist, Abbé Antoine de Padoue Tchonang, the Rev. Pastor N. Okala and the imam heick Bangoura Abdoulaye, the Princess wished to clarify before the media men, members of the civil society and economic operators, civil and traditional authorities, that she wanted to protest against the destruction of the scarves of Muslim high school students in the locality. She stressed the need for all to respect one another's religion and exercise tolerance to preserve peace enjoyed by all.

The young lady explained that wearing the veil by Muslim women is a Qur'anic prescription or even an uncompromising duty.

For the four players, the action taken by the principal of the school was a folly, a way to open the breach of a religious war between Christians and Muslims, as is the case in Nigeria.

According to the panelists, "the veils were burned at the time the Muslim community had just returned from the Hadji or pilgrims. "And this inappropriate gesture against their ideals as in this case, could cause the irreparable."

They added however that, burning the scarves in public on a Friday which is more for them a day of prayer, is like burning the cassocks of the priests and bishops, and sails and dresses of sisters on Sunday which is sacred to Christians. She appealed to the Government to quickly settle the matter amicably to avoid any provocation that can fuel chaos in the far North region.
