The proprietor of l’Ecole des eaux et forêts du golfe de guinée was arrested recently, after a fight with the students in his establishment.
Francis Alara Ndé together with his chief of office for internships, Raoul Bilingue, escaped lynching from their students as they were attacked in their offices, on 10 July.
Fortunately for them, the prompt intervention of gendarmes saved their lives. After which they were sneaked and taken to the legion of gendarmerie for custody.
According to witnesses, this incident occurred the day of the awarding of certificates, in the presence of parents and the public while the graduates were waiting for the great moment to come.
Reports had it that some student "technicians" of cycle BAC + 2, learnt they will not receive certificates and that only Assistant technical staff will receive and these victims feared this was an act of injustice.
The proprietor argued that they had not finished paying their tuition fees. Didier Zamb Kal, spokesman for the students, retorts this allegation and revealed that he and his comrades are in good standing.
Worse still, they contend that the school has no approval or authorization from Minsup. Didier Zamb Kal required publicly, the reimbursement of their tuition fees and the arrest of sponsor, for fraud.
However, the proponent challenged the allegations leveled against him and indicated that l’école des eaux et forêts du Golfe de Guinée has permission N°232/MINEFOP/SG/DFOP/SDGSF/CSACD, of December 22, 2012. This approval allows the school to train only Assistant technical officials of waters and forests and not senior technicians.
However, the school has opened a cycle for the training of senior technicians at the BAC level contrary to the afore-mentioned decision. It has even gone ahead to work with the cycle of technicians and senior technicians, without authorization from the Minister of higher education despite call to order.
In January 2014, Joseph Abengmoni, regional Inspector for formation at the delegation of Minefop in the East, instructed the sponsor of the institution to comply with the regulations in force.
On July 3, 2014, following the instructions of the Minister of employment and vocational training, the regional delegate of the East, Thaddée Elobo, sent a letter of formal notice to the establishment.
This letter forced the proprietor to change the dress and model; to execute without delay the Minister's instructions, according to article 6, which granted the approval of 2012.
And till date, such instructions have never been respected. This school has only three teachers and the tuition is 650 000F for the cycle of Assistant technicians; 750 000FCFA for water and forest agents; 800,000 francs for technicians one million francs for the senior technicians.
