The Minister of Public Health, Andre Mama Fouda has granted audience to the U.S Ambassador to Cameroon, Michael Stephen Hoza.
During the audience, the U.S Ambassador and his host discussed cooperation ties between Cameroon and America in the domain of health.
Ambassador Michael Hoza reiterated his country’s commitment to support Cameroon’s fight against diseases through the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) situated in Yaounde.
Both parties analysed strides made in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Cameroon, through partnership with the U.S.
Discussions on President Obama’s Global Health Security Agenda also featured during the encounter.
The U.S. Ambassador used the audience to introduce the new Deputy Chief of Missions at the U.S. Embassy, Mathew Smith to the Public Health Minister.
