Some religious authorities and the laity have extolled a new book titled; “The Foolishness Of God.”
The book, which has been widely acclaimed for its spiritual enrichment and as a fine work of art, was launched in Buea recently alongside another titled “Basic Concepts of Marital Excellence.”
During the launching ceremony, the ministers of God and the laity alike scrambled to grab a copy of the ‘The Foolishness Of God’.
Speaking at the occasion, the author of the book, Rev. Apostle Emmanuel Mangengen said, over the years, God has manifested His greatness and power in things that may look foolish in the eyes of men, but which are very great and intelligent in God’s eyes.
The author of the book said he drew inspiration from himself as one of the foolish creatures of God, because of his disability.
“I consider myself as one of the foolish creatures of God, because if you see me from a distance, you would not imagine that something good can ever come out of me. But God is using me to do great things and I am even surprised with what God is doing for me. That is what propelled me into writing this book so that other people can read and learn how to respect and not despise certain people or God’s creation because of their disabilities. For the Book of Revelations says, all things were created for God’s pleasure,” Rev Mangengen stated.
Launched his other book, Basic Concepts of Marital Excellence, Mangengen said; “When I got into the Pastors’ Ministry, I asked God to give me a wife, God did not only give me a wife, but also very beautiful children. These children have made me to become a good family administrator, I have taught in many seminars about the family and presided over many weddings. I think I have an experience to share with the world and if people would follow my guidelines in this book, their families will always be whole.”
The Man of God said he has written six other books, but because of lack of finance, the books are still pending publication, and that he remains hopeful that the books will be published in the years ahead.
