The Coordinator of activities of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) in the Nyong and Mfoumou Division in the Centre Region and CPDM Central Committee member, Professor Robert Nkili has called on sons and daughters of Endom sub-division to be more vigilant as the country is currently engaged in a war against the Boko Haram terrorist sect.

Robert Nkili, who is also the Minister of Transport, was speaking in Monengombo Cultural Hall on Saturday, September 26, 2015, during a grand rally that brought together administrative, political, traditional, religious, elites and living forces of the Sub-division.

According to the Central Committee member, the get-together which centered on the theme ‘Consolidation of Peace and Security in Endom sub-division’ was aimed at reminding each and every one of their role to support President Paul Biya to defeat the barbaric terrorist group.

“I have come to tell you to be careful and vigilant. We may be far from Kolofata, Fotokol but we are in Cameroon and so what affects our brothers and sisters in the Far North concerns us”, he said while stating that the sub-division shares boundaries with other localities of different regions.

Robert Nkili hailed the administrative and security authorities of the Sub- division for their sleepless nights to ensure security in the town. He revealed that through the help of the vigilante committee, some two strange individuals were arrested recently and handed to the competent authorities.

As the reorganisation of the basic organs of the CPDM party gathers momentum, the Patriarch as he is referred to by his people, urged the people of Endom to be on alert and should not get distracted. “We are about to renew the basic organs of our party, so we should not seize that opportunity to be distracted, it should not breed enmity,” he cautioned.

“The CPDM party is one that brings people together not divide. The party needs to consolidate peace and development.”

The Mayor of Endom, Didier Ondoua Ondoua, urged CPDM supporters to choose leaders who will be dedicated and productive and not those who will want to feed fat from the party.
