Schools prepare for ‘Rentrée scolaires’

Various establishments have started preparing for reopening of schools, barely few weeks to the beginning of the 2014/2015 academic year. Registration process has already begun in private schools, while in secondary schools it is expected to begin August 25.

At the Lycée of Ekounou on Tuesday, August 19, some parents queued in front of the Bulletin Board to consult the lists of admitted students. While others were there to find out information on the terms of admission, others on the date of registration.

Those, whose children were dismissed during the 2013-2014 school year, are also there to search for a means of negotiation. The Secretariats office, the Secretary revealed that each day they receive parents and students who come to have the book list, file their registration records, or to inquire about the registration date.

All of these files; those students and contractors will be subject to the recruitment commission as early as next Friday, because according to the Decree of the Minister of secondary, Louis Bapes Bapes, registration will begin August 25, 2014 in all high schools, since he had to wait for appointments of Heads of institutions.

In addition, buildings are to be repaired; tables and benches are gradually being brought in. According to M. Bogne, everything is to be put in place to ensure the success of our students.
