Seven P&T senior staff commissioned

Minister Jean Pierre Biyiti bi Essam installed them on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.

The joy felt by some senior staff of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, MINPOSTEL, on January 22, 2015 after a Prime ministerial Decree upgraded them to posts of responsibility took another dimension on January 27, 2015 when Minister Jean Pierre Biyiti bi Essam had them installed.

On January 22, Prime Minister, Head of Government Philemon Yang appointed two Technical Advisers, three Service Inspectors and two Directors of Departments in MINPOSTEL.

Minister Biyiti bi Essam challenged Technical Advisers to show proof of creativity and the spirit of analysis as the institution seeks to achieve its 2015 roadmap. To Service Inspectors who at the same time are internal auditors, the Minister called on them to remember their daunting challenge of overseeing activities. “Your evaluation of policies remains precious as you ensure that we respect the Code of Contemporary Governance,” Biyiti bi Essam told them.

The Director for Infrastructure, Equipment and Postal Network and that for Regulation and Control of Postal Activities were each urged to develop his sector. The Minister indirectly recognised that both sectors were sick, full of cacophony but it was very possible for the directors in charge to bring sanity.

He however invited all chiefs of services and appointed or maintained at their posts of responsibility to bear in mind that Cameroon is en route to economic emergence and the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has the obligation to contribute its quota to the common drive. The respect of the ministry’s roadmap was therefore of utmost importance, the Minister recalled.
