The SDF announces a revolution in 2015

The national Executive Committee of the SDF met November 8, 2014 in Bamenda to salute the popular action which led to the fall of Blaise Compaoré. The SDF (Social democratic front) predicts a change of regime in Cameroon in 2015. Its principals stated on 8th November 2015 in Bamenda, following a meeting of the national Executive Committee.

The main Cameroonian opposition based this decision on the example of Burkina Faso and promised that the leaders of political parties and opinion leaders will be outposts and the Cameroonians behind them to topple the Biya regime. That being said, the SDF invited the Cameroonian president to dialogue with regards to a smooth transition in Cameroon.

"The SDF is not part of the order of thoughts which believe that Burkina Faso has not spoken to the rest of Africa. The Burkinabé people demonstrated exceptional political maturity. They deserve the respect and encouragement," declared the national Assistant Secretary for communication of the SDF, Elimbi Lobè.

He believed that if Cameroon had put as much energy to defend the constitution in 2008, his people would be celebrating an alternative. The SDF believes that president Paul Biya lied to the Cameroonians by amending the Constitution in 2008. According to him, the actual head of the Cameroonian State violated the oath he gave in 1997.
