Tombel Records 81.5 Per Cent Voter Registration

The Head of the Central Committee Delegation Prof. Ngole Ngole said ELECAM statistics showed that Tombel in Kupe Muanenguba in the South West Region had 17, 189 voters out of the 21,000 voters earmarked by ELECAM. He promised that with just few days to the end of the biometric registration exercise, they were going to do everything to make sure Tombel scores 100 per cent registration.

In his keynote address to the over 7,000 CPDM militants and sympathizers who turned out to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the party, the Head of the Central Committee delegation said he came with a message of solidarity, determination and hope to Tombel people. He called on all sons and daughters of Tombel Sub-division to come together and fight for the development of the Sub-division. He said it is only when they became united that they can achieve what they want.

Prof. Ngole Ngole used the occasion to appeal to the elite of Tombel to be useful to their people by changing them through education and putting an end to backstabbing, witch hunting and blackmailing that had divided Tombel into factions. "Let us use this anniversary celebration to sink our differences and turn over a new leaf," he said.

On his part, the CPDM Section President for Kupe Muanenguba III, Alexander Kome, said the major problem of Tombel people and Kupe Muanenguba in general was the non-respect of the party's hierarchy. He prayed that respect would reign in party circles so that they can achieve what they want.
