Transport: Congo and Cameroon renew ties

The Congolese Minister of State, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Rodolphe Adada after his audience at the Prime Minister’s Office, held talks with Cameroon Transport Minister, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o.

Discussions during their meeting on Wednesday 20th April 2016 centred on cooperation ties between Cameroon and Congo in the transport domain.

Both ministers discussed cross border transport between Cameroon and Congo especially the Ketajoum 503 km lineal and the Sangmelima – Wesso stretch of road.

Minister Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o mentioned that the Cameroon side of the Sangmelima – Wesso stretch is complete meanwhile that in Congo is undergoing finishing touches.

In the domain of aviation, Cameroon's transport boss indicated that both Cameroonian and Congolese airliners will soon begin trading services.

The meeting was therefore an opportunity to make proposals to reinforce sub regional integration in the transport sector.
