Truck loaded with goods valued over 100m francs burnt at Ndelele

Residents of Ndelele got furious because of a distasteful death of a boy who was run over by a truck.

Irate residents attacked the truck and driver and ended up reducing to ashes, truck with contents valued over 100 million francs bound for the Central African Republic. The tragedy occurred in the town of Ndelele, close to the border with the Central African Republic on the 7th of October 2014.

This Act of vandalism was committed by town folks who did not support a fatal accident which led to the death of a 10-year-old son from the region. The driver, a certain Ndomane, 25 years old, escaped to seek refuge at the police station.

According Edouard Yaya, witness of the scene, the child was crushed by the truck. Town folks who were provoked by his act of negligence gathered with gasoline and matches to set the goods ablaze.

Unfortunately, before the administrative, municipal authorities and the police arrived at the site, the entire stock was in ashes. Law enforcement forces managed to calm the irate indigens who wanted to finish off the driver too.

An investigation has been opened to find out the exact cause of the accident.
