They had separate discussions with Senate President, Marcel Niat Njifenji, on July 15.

The Ambassador of Tunisia to Cameroon, Abderrazak Landoulsi yesterday, July 15, handed the special message of the President of the National Constituent Assembly of Tunisia to the President of Cameroon’s Senate, Marcel Niat Njifenji.

Talking to reporters after the audience, the Ambassador said the President of the National Constituent Assembly of Tunisia wants to create cooperation ties with the Senate of Cameroon.

Tunisia, he said, was in a transitional period but can cooperate with Cameroon at parliamentary level.

He announced that the transitional period in Tunisia will be over after some months as legislative election will take place in October 2014 and presidential election will follow in November 2014.

The two elections, he disclosed, will be managed by the new elections institution and Tunisians in Cameroon as well as elsewhere in the Diaspora will go to the polls.

Abderrazak Landoulsi said Cameroon and Tunisia had good economic and cultural cooperation, stating that they also discussed ways of further improving them.

Senate President Niat Njifenji had the second audience yesterday afternoon with the Ambassador of Senegal to Cameroon, Aliou Ndao Fall.

The Senegalese diplomat said it was a courtesy visit intended to further strengthen the good relations between Cameroon and Senegal.

He said their discussions focused on ways of boosting bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Without going into details, he said the two countries have much to exchange in the areas of trade and economy.
