Two arrested in a bus carrying weapon, ammunition

The two suspects were taken to the police of the 2nd district of Douala where they are under investigation.

A young man of thirty years and his accomplice Expatriate have been arrested in a VIP bus leaving Douala on January 10 to Yaoundé.

According to witnesses, a very attentive passenger noticed suspicious movements of the two suspects in the back of the bus. The driver of that bus was quietly alerted by the vigilante passenger. "Without the attention of other passengers, the driver called the elements of Esir," said one of the passengers.

As they arrived at the scene, police searched the bus and found a weapon and ammunition.

Only the police investigation opened at the 2nd district of Douala will reveal the reasons why these two individuals were carrying war weapon and ammunition from Douala to Yaounde when the whole country is on alert against terrorist threats.
