Two-year old child abducted in the district of Beedi

A new case of abduction occurred in the economic metropolis causing panic within the local population of Beedi in recent weeks.

The Beedi inhabitants are becoming sleepless. Abduction cases create psychosis within populations of this part of the city of Douala. According to the collective 'Sos stolen children', the members were contacted by a Cameroonian citizen was over taken by the situation.

"In the wake of a documentary that we realize at the moment, we were contacted by a young man from Beedi in Douala whose two years old child has been abducted in recent months.

We are again at the heart of another shattering situation that in any case confirms the results of the research contained in the documentary which will be soon delivered. Stakeholders added that "with regard to the case of this stolen baby we are still in the phase of investigation for the confirmation of the facts as objective approach compels. This phase will be completed this week and in the light of the results, we will launch again to denounce and combat this act which tends to gain momentum in our country."

The collective also wishes to compel the State of Cameroon to ensure the right of mothers and children by: the reaffirmation of the sacredness of mother and child in the mentality of Cameroonians. On the other hand, there are also: - the support of the legal and administrative measures to ensure the effective protection of the rights of children and their parents, the restoration of the right of the victims of this type of violations and abuses. Eleven organizations were formed as «collective Sos stolen children».

They have decided to join forces to rescue people whose children are abducted. For all these organizations, the current trafficking in Cameroon is a crime against humanity, the fact that it calls into question the sanctity of life in General in the Cameroonian society.

"The mother and the child are part of the fragile and vulnerable and their protection should be the minimum guaranteed in our country", advance the members of corporations cited above.
