The American English Webinar Series offers 6 online seminars per course covering a variety of topics.

Its objective is to provide future and present teachers of English, around the world, with professional skills and knowledge required for the teaching of English Language.

Certificates are awarded to participants who attend at least four out of six webinars.

Addressing the teachers, Mr. Quiroz said: “On behalf of Ambassador Michael S. Hoza, welcome to the U.S. Embassy and congratulations on your tremendous achievements by successfully completing the American English Webinar Series. You serve in one of the noblest professions and have earned one of the greatest titles: teachers. Yours is a vocation that shapes the lives of young people for a lifetime.

By teaching students to challenge themselves and master proficiency in the English language, you offer them keys of success that will enable them to communicate across cultural and national boundaries in today’s interconnected world. We consider this program the beginning of a long professional partnership between us. As you serve your students, know that you are contributing to promoting prosperity and opportunity for Cameroonian youth who will build that future through their own talents, ideas, and contributions, especially from women and girls.

All of those efforts begin in your classrooms and through your leadership. We salute your dedication and that of all Cameroonian teachers committed to that vision which you have established for yourselves. On est ensemble!”
