UNESCO Director: Moushira Khattab solicits Cameroon’s support

The Egyptian diplomat and Human Rights activist yesterday June 27, 2016, held talks with the Minister of External Relations, Lejeune Mbella Mbella.

Ambassador Moushira Khattab, an Eygptian career diplomat and human rights activist is vying for the position of the Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

The former Egyptian Minister of State for Family and Population and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of International Cultural Affairs yesterday June 27, 2016, in Yaounde, held talks with Cameroon’s Minister of External Relations, Lejeune Mbella Mbella.

Though much information did not filter from their in-camera discussions, Cameroon Tribune gathered that Ambassador Moushira Khattab was in the Ministry of External Relations to solicit Cameroon’s support in her bid for the position of UNESCO Director.

Moushira Khattab, who holds a Doctorate Degree in International Relations and Human Rights is also former Egypt’s Ambassador to South Africa, Czech and Slovak Republics.
