The first meeting of this sort from the party, Union of the people of Cameroon (UPC) since the establishment of the definitive structures of this training policy Conference took place on 6th and 7th of June in Yaoundé.
Recently, under the chairmanship of Victor Onana, and in the presence of Secretary general Basile Louka, and more than 200 members of the bureau of the Steering Committee of the party held another meeting at the Centre Jean XXIII, Mvolyé in Yaoundé.
The work menu carried the implementation of resolutions during the Congress concerning inter alia "the reorganization of the party at the base, the consolidation of its unit at the base, the re-conquest of its place on the political scene and the position of the UPC on the situation prevailing in the far - northern Cameroon", indicated its president Victor Onana.
The members of the bureau of the UPC Steering Committee proceeded to the establishment of a commission in view of the preparation for the commemoration of the centenary of martyrs of Cameroon resistance which will be held August 8.
Regarding the situation in the far North, officials of the Union of the peoples of Cameroon condemned "with the last energy", attacks by the Islamist sect Boko Haram. UPC militants also expressed their sympathy to the latest victims of the atrocities of this sect in the locality of Kolofata and hailed the courage, valour and bravery of our defence forces.
