The General Manager of the Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV) Amadou Vamoulke has paid a working visit to his staff in the Far North region of Cameroon.
Mr Amadou Vamoulke was in the Far North region this 17th March 2015 to see under what conditions the staff of the regional station in Maroua worked with the state of insecurity hovering over the region.
During a meeting, the CRTV General Manager called on members of staff in the region to prioritise national interest as they work and uphold professional ethics. He warned against reporters igniting trouble but called on them to mobilisers of the people.
The CRTV boss went on to tell the workers to accompany government in the war against terrorism.
Amongst other things, Mr Amadou Vamoulke’s visit was also to access the preparedness of CRTV Maroua to cover national events especially the live coverage of the 30th anniversary of the CPDM party.
At the end of his visit, the General Manager called on the CRTV staff in the region to show more proof of imagination and creativity.
It is worth mentioning that the attacks by the terrorist sect Boko Haram in the Far North region have had far reaching effects ranging from insecurity to economic hardship.
