Woman who stabbed Rev. Father during mass feared insane

The woman Sama Judith, who stabbed Rev. Father Gami Eric of St. Anthony Parish Kumba Mbeng during a mass service on Sunday March 22, 2015, is alleged to have a mental problem.

It is for this reason that the Kumba police are contemplating sending her to the Jamot Centre, a famous psychiatric hospital in Yaounde for treatment, The Median was reliably informed.

The sad incident that has raised a lot of questions in and around Kumba occurred as the man of God was just about to preside over the first mass for that Sunday.

Sama Judith, an alleged deportee from Britain, eluded the attention of mass servants, mounted the pulpit and pulled out a knife from inside her dress to stab the priest in his right jaw.

The incident created pandemonium in the church and the mass was abruptly brought to an end. The police was immediately alerted and Sama Judith was arraigned.

Meantime, Rev. Father Gami is still recovering at the Kumba District hospital. Police sources have alleged that she is a mental patient and that they are preparing to send her to the Jamot Centre in Yaounde for check up and treatment.

Rev. Father Gami is said to be the second man of God to have been assaulted by Sama Judith.
