Thursday , April 7 marked the 66th edition of the World Health Day celebrated with emphasis on combating diabetes.
Ceremonies organized to mark the day in Cameroon includes lectures on healthy lifestyle where experts nationwide have been urging people to watch out the types of diet they take and to regularly check their sugar level.
Moreover, health experts also lectured victims of diabetes on the various ways of living with the disease.
The total number of persons living with the disease worldwide according to official statistics have increased from 102 to 422 million persons with 14 million in Africa.
