Paul Naseri Bea took the teasing “enough, the people must know the truth (suffit, le peuple doit connaître la vérité in French)” as an appeal to popular insurrection. The police tore the posters on billboards across the city of Douala.

A poster bearing the words “suffit, le peuple doit connaître la vérité,” a drawing of a fist that strikes one on a table, was removed on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from one of three billboards that are on the Joss roundabout, near the Saints Pierre et Paul de Bonadibong Cathedral.

A witness at the scene on Wednesday met by our colleagues of Equinoxe TV recounts the incident as follows: “a commissioner arrived here yesterday (Tuesday 12) with three cars. His agents climbed a ladder and removed the poster. Meanwhile a gentleman was filming. A policeman prevented him from continuing and took him in their car. ”

At Media Plus, the company that was in charge of putting up the posters, everybody is surprised by their disappearance.

“The consulting agency that made the Crea wrote us saying that the posters were removed. We noticed it and seized the person who gave us the go ahead, the manager who is at the urban community of Douala.

They said they are not the ones responsible for the withdrawal of the posters and that it was a misunderstanding. They asked us to approach the authorities, “said one of its leaders.

The expert speaks of a “teasing” used to “justify attention, attract desire. It is a method that we know… it’s classic in communication. ” For him, “there is nothing political.” The Advert announced by the poster wanted to “just stop breath in the field of agribusiness. This is not politics as neighbors have said. ”

The reporter of Equinoxe TV deduced that “the police would have acted on instructions from the S.D.O of Wouri, who interpreted in his own way the message contained on these posters.” He concluded: “nothing to do with any appeal to insurrection“.
