2015 World Athletics Championship: two athletes to represent Cameroon

Two Cameroonian athletes have left the country for China ahead of the 15th edition of World Athletics Champion scheduled to start this Saturday 22nd August 2015.

Mbumi Sandrine and Aureole Ndongmo, two laureates of the last Africa Games in Maputo will be battling for medals in triple jump, discus and javelin throw.

Accompanying the two representatives are; the President of the African Athletics Federation, Colonel Kalkaba Malboum, President of the Cameroon Athletics Federation, Emmanuel Motombi Mbome and the Vice President, Etong Leonie.

In a related development, Cameroonian born Colonel Kalkaba Malboum is vying for the post of the Vice Presidents of the International Association of Athletics Federations, IAAF.

The competition that will last for eight days will regroup some 3.800 athletes and delegations from more than 200 athletic federations in the world.

Worthy of note is the fact that this competition is one of largest sporting events in the world and the third most populated after Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup.
