6,000 projects to be awarded to volunteers

Technical teams have been deployed since last Saturday to assess the work of some selected volunteers.

Since 1st November to the 10th, technical teams carried out the assessment of the first vintage (2012) by the Agency of the national civic service for participation in development. Basically, it had to decrypt the projects of the 6,000 volunteers beneficiary this year from all the ten regions of the country.

At the end of this assessment process, 50 projects at the rate of five per regions, will be retained. They must meet the expectations of the people in terms of food self-sufficiency. The projects must be in the area of farming, fishing and agriculture sectors.

It is at the end of this evaluation that the technical teams must objectively select the best projects by groups of volunteers. They must highlight the level of achievement of sustainability and the scale of their production on the consolidation of food self-sufficiency.

"We will try to ensure that these young people are actually in their sectors and then evaluate projects that were successful and respected by the requested guns." Some will be retained and submitted at the discretion of the Director General.

The goal is to allow recipients to expand their activities and combat food insufficiency. The elect will benefit from the support of the Government in terms of technical assistance, to support inputs and improved seeds, or even financial support.

As a reminder, 770 million F had been disbursed by the Agency of the national civic service for participation in development at 6,000 volunteers from this first batch in 2012 as part of its training.

Currently, 7,000 young volunteers have been trained since last July which ends next month where they will also receive support from the Government.
