An 800 million F increase compared to 2012, is considered the most significant since 10 years. That is a record increase of road revenues. 31st December 2013, the toll gates authorities reported 6, 132 billion F against 5, 218 billion F in 2012.
An increase of 800 million F, the largest ever recorded for a decade, a performance that is attributed to the reduction of bad practices which militated against the road revenue. At least that is what is contained in the Bulletin of the Cameroonian Treasury Board, for the June 14, 2014 edition, a publication of the General Directorate of the Treasury, financial and monetary cooperation (DGTCFM) of the Ministry of Finance.
According to this magazine, the road revenues have experienced during the financial year 2013, an increase of 25 %, amounting to 1, 017 billion of F.
In the interview that he granted, Hamadou Yanoussa, coordinator of the program for road revenue (toll and weighing), made a precision: "The revenue collected by the PSPR in 2013 and repaid to the public Treasury amounted to 6, 132 billion F. But, given the rule of repayment in ten days, only 5.7 billion of F are recorded by the public Treasury 31 December 2013, the difference is accounted for in 2014 ".
It is with this spirit that the team intends to continue the work. For this year 2014, revenues are expected to stabilize at the level of 2013 or know at best, an increase, taking into account the rate of increase of the vehicle fleet and the withdrawal of the vehicles from the road.
