Government will finance the production and distribution of 900 tonnes of certified corn to farmers in 2015. This was announced by Economy Minister, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, in an official release.
With annual imports amounting to 20,000 tonnes (due to local production shortages), corn, the number three staple in Cameroon after plantain and cassava for several years now according to the Competitiveness Committee will be getting special are from the Cameroonian authorities.
