Africa Fortesa Corp Ltd to drill wells for Bowleven Plc

Bowleven Plc, active oil and gas Exploration Company in Africa, announced on 27 June to have entered into an arrangement with the Africa Fortesa Corp Ltd company for the drilling of wells under the Bomono permit in Cameroon.

According to the spirit of this agreement, subject to the approval of the Government of Cameroon, Africa Fortesa Corp Ltd will have to drill two exploration wells at a cost of 15 million $, to acquire in return 20% interest in the licence.

Drilling should begin before the end of the year 2014 and will be implemented by Africa Onshore Drilling, a subsidiary of Africa Fortesa, who has already been proven in drilling onshore in Africa including Western Senegal.

In addition to this arrangement, Bowleven, petro-gas side in London, explores the possibilities of other widespread on portions of its interests in the permit to move the drilling program.

The Bomono permit includes two blocks onshore OLHP-1 and OLHP-2, which cover 2328 km2 in Douala basin. It is owned 100% by EurOil Ltd, a subsidiary wholly owned by the British company Bowleven Plc.

In Cameroon, Bowleven Plc is operator two blocks onshore and three offshore blocks in which it has holdings.
