EVENTS:

*RWANDA - Rwanda's central bank announces its latest benchmark repo rate decision.

*KENYA - President Uhuru Kenyatta to hold a news conference to address issues around the country's successful debut $2 billion Eurobond issue, and the state of the economy in general.

*KENYA - Kenya Airways releases its earnings results for the full year ending March 31.

*KENYA - Central Bank of Kenya auctions 182-day and 364-day Treasury bills worth a total 8 billion shillings.

*MAURITIUS - Bank of Mauritius auctions five-year Treasury bonds worth a total 1.6 billion rupees.

GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian shares fell on Wednesday, echoing losses on Wall Street as concerns about escalating violence in Iraq eclipsed stronger economic data.

WORLD OIL PRICES

Brent crude inched lower on Wednesday, but held close to a nine-month high above $114 a barrel as Sunni insurgents battled government forces for control of Iraq's biggest refinery.

SOUTH AFRICA MARKETS

South African stocks fell for the second straight session on Tuesday, with platinum mining shares giving up some of the previous day's gains as investors sized up the cost of a wage deal that ended a crippling five-month strike.

NIGERIA CRUDE OIL EXPORTS

Nigeria will export around 1.87 million barrels per day of crude oil in August, in line with planned July exports, shipping lists seen by Reuters indicated on Tuesday.

KENYA MARKETS

Kenyan shares extended a winning streak to five days on Tuesday, racking up gains on the back of last week's successful Eurobond issue, while the shilling weakened within a recent range.

KENYA AIRWAYS

Kenya Airways has picked chief operating officer Mbuvi Ngunze to be its new chief executive to replace Titus Naikuni who will retire at the end of this year, it said on Tuesday.

KENYA POLITICS

Kenya's veteran opposition leader demanded on Tuesday a national dialogue by July 7 and sought a timetable to pull Kenyan troops out of Somalia, hours after a fresh attack on the coast killed five people.

UGANDA CURRENCY

The Ugandan shilling was stable on Tuesday after the central bank said it was in the market to sell an undisclosed amount of dollars, helping the local currency regain some lost ground, but traders said it was likely to remain under pressure.

SENEGAL BOND

Senegal will launch its 100 billion CFA franc ($207 million)sukuk programme on Wednesday, the finance ministry said in a statement, the first major Islamic bond by a West African nation to raise funds.

CAMEROON CRUDE OIL PRODUCTION

Cameroon's crude oil production rose 25 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2014 to 6.6 million barrels, statistics from state-run National Hydrocarbons Corp (SNH) showed on Tuesday.

IVORY COAST MINERALS

Ivory Coast expects its gold output to rise by about 10 percent this year while manganese production will jump nearly 18 percent as new mining projects start operation, the country's mines minister said on Tuesday.

ANGOLA LENDING RATE

Angola's central bank left its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 9.25 percent on Tuesday after a meeting of its monetary policy committee.
