The Indian company Angelique International Ltd has been declared successful bidder of over 15.5 billion francs contract for the "design, supply, installation and commissioning of medium and low-power systems high tension in 8 regions of Cameroon."
This is the content of a statement issued on 1 October 2014 by Theodore Nsangou, Director General of Electricity Development Corporation (EDC), a company of the Cameroon government in the construction of energy infrastructure.
EDC specifies that only the first two batches (six regions: Central, South, Littoral, West, Southwest and Northwest) of this market in three packs are awarded to the Indian company, the third batch (the North and Far North) granted to the Egyptian companies Elsewedy Electric T & D PSP group.
Angelique International Ltd and the group led by Elsewery Electric, which according to the results released by EDC were neck and neck on the three batches, have done well ahead of major competitors such as China's Sinohydro or the French Cegelec.
