Association of young entrepreneurs hold conference in Yde

On the invitation of the Association of young enterprises and entrepreneurs of Cameroon (Ajecam), the Ambassador of Brazil, his Excellency Nei Futuro Bitencourt, met young entrepreneurs interested in agro-pastoral activities, to share Brazilian entrepreneurship experiences.

It was a conference-debate on the theme: "The trades of agriculture, livestock and fisheries: a food opportunities for young entrepreneurs" held Tuesday in Yaoundé. Brazil is the sixth world economy and has the same cultural characteristics as Cameroon. We also grow most agricultural products such as cassava, corn, cocoa, coffee, etc. which is why, president of the association, Camille Odell, therefore found it necessary to appeal to the Brazilian Ambassador who stated that innovation, risk taking and arbitration are the pillars of the establishment of a business.

According to Nei Futuro Bitencourt, Brazil which has about 200 million inhabitants, has managed to develop its agriculture, thanks to the creation of several programs that have helped boost the country's economy. This country is so far, the world's leading producer of coffee, sugar cane and oranges, one of the first producers of soybeans.

According to him, "to succeed in SMEs, entrepreneurs must multiply associations and cooperatives in order to be stronger and more competitive, to obtain loans from banks. He also added that the development of agriculture should follow in combination with several vectors at the same time.

"Roads, infrastructure and training of farmers must compete at the same time." A call for proposals was launched for young entrepreneurs after which the best will be selected for training in Brazil during the ceremony.
