With an average capacity of 120 movements of containers per hour, 4 Park Gate which cost 2.4 billion CFA francs, have been operational since August 12, 2014. "They play an essential role in improving the productivity of the Terminal, by accelerating the processing of import containers," says a Communication official.
with the commissioning of new Park Gate, the decongestion of the port of Douala, is initiated. Today, the occupancy rate of export and import parks are respectively at 67% and 89% compared to 147% in May 2014.

"Welcoming the efforts made, today, thanks to the efforts being put in place in conjunction with some shipping lines, the trend is improving. Today visible improvement must be maintained to continue the decongestion and taken emergency measures will conclude as a cause for satisfaction". The authorities said.
Response of the authorities to strengthen the competitiveness of the terminal in containers from the port of Douala amounted to nearly 7 billion of immediate acquisitions in less than three months, and more than 5 billion acquisition of the third medium-term portico and far-reaching reforms of its organisation.
