Bowleven plc, group for the exploration of gas and oil in London, is now in possession of an exploitation licence of Etinde, a permit for the operation of gas from block MLHP-7 with its partners including SNH, the national oil company in Cameroon.
It announced having obtained this authorization August 4, after a Decree signed by the head of the State, Paul Biya, marking the end of the process for this purpose. "Obtaining this clearance is an important step and allows us advance the development of Etinde," commented Kevin Hart, DG of Bowleven.
It gives Bowleven and its partners, the right for the human enhancement and exploitation the MLHP-7 block for an initial period of 20 years renewable for another 10 years.
According to the British group, development plans focus on the IM field at the MLHP-7 block and the initial sale of dry gas to a proposed fertilizer plant, so as to facilitate the production of fluids.
