CMR customs to employ solar energy

The Spanish company Distecable, leader of a consortium whose other components have not been revealed, has just awarded a contract for a total of more than 134 million Cfa francs (204 153 euros), for "the installation of solar energy power systems and connection to the main network for sectors of 8 regions in Douala and Cameroon customs.

The market that needs to be done within 60 days, is financed by funds from the 10th EDF (European Development Fund), made available by the European commission within the Programme of support to the implementation of the plan of modernisation of the Customs (Papmod).

This migration to the solar support Cameroon customs, should not only allow to overcome interruptions by repeated electric power failure generally experienced in Cameroon, but also help to alleviate the energy of the Cameroonian public administration Bill in general.
