Cameroon,UN agree on FCFA 418 billion master plan for development aid

The Cameroonian Minister of Economy, Louis Paul Motazé, and Najat Rochdi, Coordinator of the United Nations system in Cameroon, signed on 9 December 2016 in Yaoundé, a new agreement on the United Nations Development Aid master plan.

This document, which regulates the cooperation between the United Nations and Cameroon over the 2018-2020 period, makes a priority of the implementation of development programmes in sectors such as health and nutrition; education and professional training; food security; employment and social insertion, etc.

The implementation of this new master plan is officially estimated at USD 680 million, approximately FCfa 418 billion, of which half is to be raised, as revealed by the pro-government daily.
