The Head of State of Cameroon, Paul Biya, released July 22, two decrees ratifying agreements on air transport agreement with the Republic of Congo and Spain signed respectively in December and November 2012.
These two agreements, which will enable Congolese and Spanish airlines serving Cameroon, and vice versa, will help boost trade between the two countries and Cameroon.
If trade with the Congolese Republic are comparable to the 5% intracommunity identified in the CEMAC zone in which belong Cameroon and Congo, in 2005 Spain was the first trading partner of Cameroon regarding exports, with a budget of over 357 billion CFA francs, against 38 billion CFA francs for imports.
