If these findings were applauded by partners at the ceremony chaired by the Governor of the Littoral on behalf of Minfi, there are still challenges.

This fiscal year, the Customs strengthened the fight against smuggling, fraud and counterfeiting, a better securing of transit, improving the recovery of revenue, the intensification of the public-private partnership, among others.

The customs/business partnership was discussed the previous days in Douala, on the occasion of the Symposium on the evaluation of this alliance.

At the end of the work, various recommendations were made: raise awareness and engage the economic operators to protect their trademarks and to formulate requests for intervention in the event of infringement; create terminals and shops outside the port; free spaces on the linear wharf at the port of Douala to increase the capacity of vessels by the creation of new berths, expel illegal occupants of the port area, following an audit, etc.
