The coffee labelled “Ménage à trois”, roasted by the company Synergie Nord Sud based in Nkongsamba, in the Littoral region of Cameroon, will be the only Cameroonian brand to be tasted from July 4 to 11, 2016 in France, particularly at the headquarters of the Agency for the Valorisation of Agricultural Products (AVPA), as well as bars and restaurants participating to “the Marais cafés welcome coffees from around the world” operation.
This tasting week is the bonus offered by AVPA to the winners of the 2nd edition of the International contest of coffees roasted in their countries of origin, which just ended in the 4th arrondissement of Paris.
A competition at the end of which, we learn, nine African coffee brands won prizes, with only one for Cameroon, a country which had concluded the 2015 edition of this contest with three medals out of the five won by coffee roasters from Africa.
This time around, the Cameroonian coffee kowtowed to the Togolese, Tanzanian and Ivorian coffees, who each won two medals; and the Ethiopian coffee, which came out with only one distinction.
In total, out of the 105 coffees which were competing, 75 were rewarded.
