Diageo Group, Guinness Cameroon seek partners

World giant, Diageo liquor, the parent company of Guinness Cameroon, has just launched a call for applications for the recruitment of commercial partners to distribute its products in Cameroon. We learned that Diageo, "wishes to ensure a strong penetration of the market with its products".

The Guinness, liquor best-known group, Diageo marketed also Cameroonian wines and branded wines such as Johnny Walker, J and B, Crown Royal, Baileys, Cuervo, Captain Morgan... So many products for which "Cameroon is 4th Diageo market in the world," revealed Andy Fennel, the Africa group president, during a passage in Cameroon in August 2014.

Through the extension of its network of distributors, the Cameroonian Diageo's subsidiary aspires clearly to win new market share, to go beyond the 15% it holds currently. This is however far behind the Corporation of the Brasseries du Cameroun, a subsidiary of the French Castel, which normally owns 80% of market shares
