Douala port signs pact with San Pedro Port

Accompanied by the Director of cabinet of the Minister of transport, Executive Director of the port of Douala, Emmanuel Etoundi Oyono and his collaborators, the Cameroonian Transport Minister, Professor Robert Nkili, was at San Pedro on Tuesday, February 24, where he made a working visit with the authority of the second port of the country.

This visit which comes just days after a delegation of Dutch businessmen was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement between the ports, San Pedro and Douala.

This cooperation covers port operations, training, promoting port and port infrastructure as well as equipment management. The Director general of the port of Douala has on this occasion, shown that he is keen on raising the image of the major ports in order to meet the challenges prevailing in their ports.

"The port of Havre, Rouen and Paris, despite being large ports have decided to come together to form the Europa group because they have understood that there is a need for such collaborations.

The ports of San Pedro and Douala had the same difficulties and thus believe that together they will find solutions to these difficulties", indicated Emmanuel Etoundi Oyono.
