ECCAS opens its market to 140m consumers in 13 Cmrnian companies

On November 7, 2014 in Yaounde, the Minister of trade, Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana officially turned to 13 companies located within the Cameroonian territory with accreditation to the preferential scheme of the economic community of Central African States (ECCAS), which will allow 81 products from these firms to be exported duty free to 10 countries of the ECCAS.

The largest of these companies are industrialists such as aluminum society of Cameroon (Alucam), agro Nestlé, manufacturer of shives of matches Unalor, and especially the Cameroonian glassworks (Socaver) company, best subdivided in the batch of 13 elected officials of ECCAS.

Indeed, this subsidiary of the breweries in Cameroon, which specialises in the manufacture of bottles, canisters and bottles in glass is authorized to export generously to countries of ECCAS with 28 products out of the 81 held for 13 Cameroonian enterprises.

These products were selected on the basis of criteria such as the use of at least 40% of local raw materials and incorporation into their production process, of at least 30% of the community added value.

In April 2014, 19 Cameroonian companies and 145 products had been authorised for the preferential scheme of CEMAC, another community space which has six States out of (11) eleven. 19 companies are also on the list of the 13 recipients of the approval of ECCAS officially handed on November 7.
