Ecobank Cameroon named best bank for 2014

Banking magazine of the Financial Times group, recently published the results of its 2014 "Banker Awards". At the end of this classification, Cameroonian affiliate of Ecobank, the Pan-African Bank, was named Best Bank of the year 2014.

The announcement was made by the administrator and CEO of the Bank, Moustapha Fall during the second edition of the Kilimanjaro Top Managers (KTM) in Douala, a ceremony aimed at encouraging managerial excellence in Africa.

At the end of the 2013 fiscal, the Pan-African Bank in Cameroon's assets grew 27 percent in 2013 while 23,000 new clients were recorded, announced in his report. In addition, performance per share almost tripled from 13.1 per cent to 31.7 per cent, allowing them to distribute nearly 150 per cent of dividends to shareholders.

These performances are the result of a "strategy in three areas, including the strengthening of consumer satisfaction, the creation of a framework to allow employees to Excel, and the assurance of return on investment to shareholders.

The Bank also plans to expand its customer base by expanding its network of agency and putting in place a forum where customers can make their problems.
