Ethiopian Airlines sends technicians to Cameroon

The Ethiopian Airlines said it has begun sending aircraft technicians to African countries.

The airlines is undertaking expansion project at its maintenance, repair and overhaul center at a cost of more than 100,000 US dollars.

The expansion project, which is now 77 percent complete, helps the center to accommodate 10 aircrafts at a time and offer overhaul service for other countries.

The expansion project is expected to be finalized by the coming August, Zemen Nega, Managing Director of the overhaul center said.

In addition to the expansion project, an integrated works are underway to produce skilled manpower.

According to him, the center is currently sending aircraft technicians to Malawi, Rwanda, Cameroon and other African countries.

The airlines also planned to open overhaul centers in those countries, he added.
