Four companies shortlisted for geological, mining info. system tender

Guillaume Mananga, the Coordinator of the project of building the capacity of the mining sector (Precasem), recently published a shortlist of four firms and groups of European firms, invited to subscribe for the recruitment of consultants, to "the supervision of geological and geochemical mapping program and the establishment of a system of geological and mining information in Cameroon".

Short-listed groups are Consultores Ortega García (Spain), Arethusa Geology Sarl (France) and the BGS International & CGS groups (England), then IMC & IMC Motan Consulting (Germany). These applicants have until November 4, 2014 to file their offers at the headquarters of the Precasem in Yaounde.

Precasem is funded by the World Bank, on its IDA window. This project implemented by the Cameroonian Government led "airborne geophysical survey" operations since January 2014, in six regions of the country, which will lead to a summary of exploration of 160,000 Km2 additional of the Cameroonian territory, and the establishment of 13 new geological maps.
