Govt envisage extension of Promote to Douala, other cities

This was an idea brought about by the Commerce Minister (Mincommerce) Luc Magloire Atangana Mbarga, during his visit of the stands on 13th December at the Congress Hall in Yaoundé.

After a tour to all the premises, Mbarga Atangana answered questions posed by Marcellin Ngansop, a journalist of Equinox television: "We welcome the immense contribution of Equinox TV at this Salon. It is a highly watched television. It is good that our images get across oceans, because the ambition of the Government is to Promote a showcase in the Central Africa sub-region, with an international projection. Also, we say thank all the various media, whether public or not, all structured to promote the Emergence of head of State", said the Mincommerce.

Mbarga Atangana however announced that "an economic and industrial town as Douala, undoubtedly deserves to have its Promote, as well as other cities. In terms of amendments, Abdoul Aziz Aman, exhibitor, and Culinary category manager to Azur S.A., wished that now stands be grouped by craft body, so that there is order and that visitors can meet easily and develop security in some places".

Asked finally on soaring prices traditionally orchestrated by corrupt operators during the end of year holidays, Mincommerce advance that the work carried out by his men on this subject, is a daily task, and thanked the economic operators working in harmony the policy of the Government.

Magloire Mbarga Atangana asked consumers to learn not to get strangled by unethical traders. Outside surveillance measures undertaken by the Government, it is clear that the consciousness of the operator is also important", he concluded.
