The New Indian High Commissioner to Cameroon, H.E. A.R. Ghanashyam has promised to encourage innovative business meetings with the hopes of creating a link between Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) in both countries.
The Indian diplomat was responding to questions from the local press during which he highlighted the role of SMEs as backbone of the Indian economy, an economy that is considered emerging.
He considers innovation as the route to progress and prosperity, saluting the fact that India and Cameroon are already working hand-in-hand, as seen through the Indian incubation centre, for the development of cassava-based industries.
The seasoned diplomat called on the Cameroon government to access investment from the BRICS and control exportation. To him, a country that keeps exporting will neither own products nor factories which could help in creating jobs.
Concerning Information Technology, the High Commissioner entreated young Cameroonians to avail themselves of the Indian experience that is an example in fighting poverty.
The Indian High Commissioner based in Cameroon, covers Nigeria, Benin and Chad. The diplomat with a new vision to bilateral relations, presented his Letters of Credence to the Cameroon Minister of External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo, last July 23.
