Jean David Bile is the official rep of Actis in Cmr

Jean David Bile, former CEO of AES Sonel, public electricity company in Cameroon, has accepted the proposal of the British investment fund Actis, which purchased AES Sonel and its subsidiaries and KPDC DPDC, to chair its Cameroonian holding under creation which manages the interests of Actis in the country.

According to sources, Bile who spent 36 years at AES Sonel and presided over the destiny of this operator of the electricity sector for 10 years will now from its offices in the central business district of Bonanjo in Douala, function as the official representative of the British investment fund Actis in Cameroon.

According to other source, this new posture will allow Jean David Bile to oversee all the activities and strategic options for companies in which the British investment fund has interests in the country.

This is the case of AES Sonel that is headed by Joel Nana Kontchou, which announced a plan for investment of 170 billion CFA francs for the 2014-2018 period; and KPDC and DPDC, two companies which manage gas in Kribi and oil Dibamba.
