Joe Ticknyemb to coordinate peri-urban elect'tion project, Cemac

Regarding a project of intensive peri-urban electrification in zone Cemac, launched by the Cameroonian Government and jointly funded by the European Union and the Member States of Cemac, Joseph Ticknyemb has been designated to coordinate the plans.

Head of Division for the analysis of risks related recommended him because he's has been working for Sonel and Aes Sonel for more than 30 years thus enjoys a rich and exceptional experience.

All these experience earned him this credit by the former CEO of Aes Sonel, Brian Rich, a designation which has been endorsed by a decision from the Minister of water and energy on the finding of the members of the project "Ease energy CEMAC" coordination cell in 2009.

A Cemac-Aes partnership agreement was signed by the parties and included a budget of the project prepared in accordance with the convention, arrested and adopted by Aes Sonel and cellule "Facilite Energie Cemac"(Cfe Cemac).

Naturally, and as an appointed expert and head of project by Aes Sonel, Joseph Ticknyemb was entitled in return for his services, a compensation provided for in the budget. But where the problem lies is that from 2008 to 2012, for five years during which Joseph Ticknyemb has demonstrated the self-sacrifice, dedication and efficiency missions entrusted him, he has not received date any of penny of benefits that are due.

Repeatedly, he presented his complaints to the new Director-General in the person of Jean David Bile who replaced the American, for the purposes of the resolution of the situation, similarly, these approaches were punctuated by letters of claim that have remained unheeded to date. At most, the applicant received the assurance that it is "a debt that the company Aes Sonel must adjust and demanded time to collect funds".

This assurance on the part of the Directorate General of Aes Sonel seems to rather indicate a leak in front not to say a dilatory response. Because in fact, it turns out that funds for the allowances and salaries of experts from this project were each time mobilized, released and transferred into the accounts of the company Aes Sonel by Cemac.

One might think that the total amount of compensation expected could wince the authorizing officer of the payment, as according to our sources, the windfall expected by stakeholders in the project would amount to several hundreds of millions of francs.
