Minepat releases journal on 2015 projects

The document detailing on projects lined up to be realized in 2015 was put online on Friday, January 2 on the website of the Ministry of economy, planning and regional development (Minepat) with interest marked for decentralization.

The homepage of the Ministry of economy, planning and regional development (minepat.gov.cm) was one of the most recommended for economic operators this weekend. Indeed, since Friday, January 2, 2015, the Journal of 2015 projects can be accessed on this platform. Visitors can log on to this internet portal to download pdf format of the document as well as records of operations in the different regions of Cameroon.

For Dieudonné Bondoma Yokono, Director-general of the economy in this Department, this was done "so that bidders can send their tenders in without any hitches". He noted that those who intend to participate in the public procurement can do so early to beat the deadlines for contracting".

According to officials of the Minepat, decentralization will be a central issue in the follow-up to this project journal. "After the progression of nearly 79.4% in 2014 from 2013, the volume of resources transferred in 2015 off staffing general decentralization witnessed an increase of almost 30%. With full transfer of powers to municipalities, expected in 2015, this increase aims to show the willingness of the Government to implement the decentralization policy, can be read on the page featuring links to operations in the regions.

The publication of the journal this year was done four days earlier than last year. This was done in order to accelerate the effective implementation of public investment projects while providing a major patch to the difficulties encountered during the first year of the programme budget.
