Mitsumi Distribution to market ZTE equipment in Cameroon

The Chinese manufacturer telecommunications equipment ZTE has signed a partnership with the Mitsumi Distribution company, presented as one of the largest distributors of information and communication technologies on the African continent.

Distributor of major brands such as Acer, Asus, Canon, Dell, Hitachi, HP, IBM, Lenovo, Microsoft, Samsung, Sandisk or even Toshiba, Mitsumi Distribution company was chosen by the Chinese firm, to launch a real commercial offensive of ZTE products on about 17 African countries, including Cameroon.

This partnership between ZTE and Mitsumi Distribution, including the hub located in Nairobi, Kenya, should enable this Chinese supplier to diversify its products in Cameroon, through the marketing of other products such as video-conferencing equipment, modems, routers, and data center, etc.

Indeed, so far, ZTE is known in Cameroon for its offerings of IT solutions to the mobile phone company Orange Cameroon and the incumbent telecoms Camtel, which the Chinese company has built facilities in the cities of Douala and Yaoundé.

In 2013, the Cameroonian Government entrusted the Chinese company, the market for the implementation of a national plan of telecommunications emergency connected to administrations in charge of the management of natural disasters.
