Pamol to acquire palm oil production unit

The shareholders of the agro-industrial company, Pamol have been summoned for an extraordinary general meeting on April 27, 2015 in Yaounde, the Cameroonian capital, revealed in an official communiqué issued April 17, 2015.

The only point on the agenda of this AG, is the granting of discharge to the Director general so that the latter can mobilize local and international banking institutions, for financing needed to build a palm oil production unit for the company, with a capacity of 30 metric tonnes (Mt) per hour.

This investment, whose amount is not revealed at the moment, is part of a plan contract signed between the State of Cameroon and the parastatal enterprise Pamol, as part of the rehabilitation of the agro-industrial company.

This plan contract amount set at 14 billion CFA integrated also the construction of a SOAP factory, the rejuvenation of the plantations of palm oil exploited by the company, the establishment of new plantations including a Palm Grove of 500 hectares in the Bakassi peninsula
