Sodecoton looking for suppliers for 12 trucks and trailers over 1,000 tons of steel for packaging

The Cameroonian government has launched two international tenders for the supply of a batch of 1,000 tons of phosphate wire for wrapping bales of cotton steel and supply of 12 sets Aerial platforms trucks and trailers for transport, Cotton Development Corporation (Sodecoton).

Buyers of these markets will pay a surety of 20 and 24 million CFA francs for the market supply of phosphate packing wire, and one for the supply truck trailers. The submission files, meanwhile, are expected to Public Markets later than July 4, 2014 (phosphate wire) and July 17, 2014 (truck trailers).

Flagship of the agribusiness in the northern part of Cameroon, Sodecoton expected production of 240 000 tonnes of cotton in the 2014-2015 marketing year, according to its CEO, Marc Samatana. A campaign for which the company has received significant funding from local banks and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
